Press shop
Our production network includes more than 30 presses with compressive forces ranging from 400 to 8,000 tonnes. From the smallest to the largest profile: We will find the right extrusion press for every aluminium profile.
Most of our partners’ press shops are located in Europe. This guarantees secure supply chains and short transport distances without the use of sea freight.

Dimensions
The following data and dimensions must be observed:
Max. dimensions – rectangle: | 750 x 200 mm |
Max. dimensions – square: | 400 x 400 mm |
Max. diameter – round rods: | 420 mm |
Max diameter – round tubes: | 500 mm |
Max. weight: | 140 kg/m (290 kg/m) |
Min. weight: | from approx. +/–40 g/m |
Min. wall thickness: | from approx. +/–0.4 mm |
Max. length: | 26,000 mm |
The figures depend on the alloy used and the shape of the profile.
Alloys
We use 6 melting furnaces to produce 6000 series aluminium alloys. This allows us to tailor the alloys to customer-specific requirements to ensure that the profile we produce has the desired mechanical properties or visual appearance.
All of the processed alloys comply with the current ROHS and REACH regulations. You can find the corresponding declarations of conformity in the Download area.
The 6000 series aluminium alloys are very popular due to their high strength, corrosion resistance and low weight. They are used in a wide range of applications in which the material properties must meet exacting requirements.
To enable the billets to be produced in an even more sustainable way, we offer you the opportunity to reduce your carbon footprint. You can find more information about this under Sustainability or you can simply get in touch and ask us about this.
With mejo, you can choose aluminium profiles in the following alloys:
